Hydraulic toe jack 20 tons

Heavy machines lifted corner by corner — presses, CNC machine tools, transformers, generator sets and production line bases. Important: the "20 tons" in the name is the static load rating, not the lifting capacity. On the head it lifts 15,000 kg; on the toe, 12,000 kg. The jack works on one corner at a time, so you size it against the load on that corner rather than the total mass of the machine — with an even distribution across four points a 20-ton machine puts roughly 5 tons on a corner, but the distribution is rarely even and you need to allow a margin.

On the head 15,000 kg, on the toe 12,000 kg — against the 20,000 kg static rating quoted in the product name. The toe rating is lower because it works on an overhang and carries a bending moment rather than a clean axial load. The HP20 weighs 68 kg, so it is worth having two people to reposition it. The lifting stroke is 140 mm, with 0–60 mm of screw adjustment.

Use the toe when you need to get in low — the minimum toe height is 40 mm, so it fits under the frame of a machine standing almost flat on the floor. Use the head when there is already clearance underneath (head height 325 mm) or when lifting through a timber block — you get a higher capacity and a more stable support. Rule of thumb: lift on the toe only far enough to slide in a block or introduce the skates, never to hold the machine there.

In the Polish documentation supplied with these jacks, the "Head" and "Toe" labels in the load table are sometimes swapped. The binding reference is the drawing on the same page, together with the values we publish in the technical data: head 15,000 kg, toe 12,000 kg. We verified this independently — the HP20 is structurally the MTJ12 from the MTJ series, with identical weight, heights and stroke. We say so openly because taking that table at face value leads to an incorrect and unsafe equipment choice.
