Hilti Demolition Hammer Rental
We rent electric Hilti hammers for chiselling and demolition — from a light hammer for removing wall tiles to a 30 kg breaker for floors and foundations. All of them run from a 230 V socket and have Active Vibration Reduction (AVR). Every hammer comes with a point chisel and a flat chisel, and the daily rate drops noticeably on longer rentals. Based in Katowice.
Which hammer do you need?
The most common mistake is a hammer that is too heavy or too light for the job. A heavy breaker cannot be used on a wall; a light one will spend hours on thick concrete. As a rough guide:
- Wall tiles, plaster, channels for installations, openings in masonry — the light Hilti TE 700-AVR chisel hammer (about 8 kg, for walls and horizontal work).
- Floor tiles with adhesive, screeds, brick and block partitions — Hilti TE 905-AVR (about 12 kg).
- Screeds, floors, terrazzo, masonry, openings in slabs — Hilti TE 1500-AVR (about 14 kg, downwards and at an angle).
- Thick concrete: hall floors, foundations, slabs, pavements — Hilti TE 3000-AVR (about 30 kg, downwards only).
- Anchor holes, penetrations for pipes and cables, drilling through walls — Hilti TE 76-ATC combihammer (bits up to 40 mm, core bits up to 150 mm).
Not sure which one? Tell us what you need to break and in what — thickness, material, wall or floor. We will point you to the right tool.
Chisels — how it works
Each hammer comes with a point chisel and a flat chisel. The chisel fee is charged once per rental, not per day: PLN 15 net for SDS-max hammers (TE 700, TE 76), PLN 20 for the TE 905 and TE 1500, PLN 25 for the TE 3000. It covers sharpening after return. For rentals longer than a week it applies to each started week. A wide or spade chisel costs PLN 10 extra. Drill and core bits for the combihammer are not included.
Dust and noise
Breaking concrete and mortar produces fine silica dust that harms the lungs. Indoors, wear at least an FFP3 mask and safety glasses, plus hearing protection. Wetting the surface and using an industrial vacuum noticeably reduce dust. In an occupied building, warn the neighbours — a breaker can be heard several floors away.
Honestly: when a handheld hammer is not enough
An electric handheld hammer works well for breaking and demolition inside buildings. On very thick, heavily reinforced concrete or large foundations progress can be slow — an excavator-mounted hydraulic breaker, a concrete saw or core drilling will be faster and cheaper. We do not rent that equipment, and we say so upfront so you do not pay for days that achieve little.
Collection and delivery
Hammers can be collected in Katowice. On request we deliver within the Silesian agglomeration (Katowice, Gliwice, Zabrze, Bytom, Sosnowiec, Dąbrowa Górnicza, Tychy, Mysłowice, Mikołów and nearby) for a flat PLN 200 net round trip. Beyond the agglomeration transport is quoted individually.
Tell us what you need to break or remove, what it is made of and how thick it is — we will help you choose a hammer and tell you what is available on your dates.
