Hikmicro B20S thermal camera — 256 × 192
The Hikmicro B20S thermal camera shows the temperature distribution on walls, floors, installations and equipment. A 256 × 192 sensor with sensitivity below 40 mK can distinguish very small temperature differences (around 0.04°C per the manufacturer), with a smooth 25 Hz image. Four modes: thermal, visual, Fusion and picture-in-picture. Send images over Wi-Fi to your phone with the free HIKMICRO Viewer app, or via USB-C to a computer. IP54 housing, battery for about 6 hours. Note: the camera shows temperature differences, it does not measure moisture — use the BM31 moisture meter for that; the two complement each other.

FAQ
Is this camera good enough?
Yes — comfortably so for buildings, installations and equipment. The 256 × 192 sensor gives 49,152 measuring points, more than two and a half times as many as the Bosch GTC 400 C often found in rental shops (160 × 120, 19,200 points). In practice that means a sharper image and finer detail: individual underfloor heating pipes, the edge of a thermal bridge, a specific terminal in a switchboard. Add higher sensitivity (below 40 mK vs below 50 mK), a smoother image (25 Hz) and a wider range (up to 550 °C vs 400 °C). The GTC 400 C is a solid tool — the B20S simply gives a noticeably more detailed image at the same rental price.
What is a thermal camera most often used for?
Checking home insulation and thermal bridges, underfloor heating, radiators, electrical installations, machines and control cabinets, even heated car seats. More detail, including when to inspect and what the camera cannot do, on our thermal camera rental page.
Does a weekend count as one day?
Yes. Collect the camera on Friday from 1 pm, return it on Monday by 8 am and pay for one day.
Does a thermal camera show moisture?
Not directly. It shows temperature differences — damp spots are often cooler, so the camera hints where to look. Moisture itself must be checked with a meter, e.g. the Trotec BM31 moisture meter.
How do I send images to my phone?
Turn on Wi-Fi in the camera, install the free HIKMICRO Viewer app (Android and iPhone) and connect. Images land in the app, from where you can share them via WhatsApp or e-mail. Use USB-C to copy them to a computer.
When is the best time to look for thermal bridges?
When the indoor–outdoor temperature difference is large — in practice during the heating season. In summer the image is hard to read.
What happens to my images after I return the camera?
We wipe the camera memory after every return. Copy your images before handing the equipment back.
Do you deliver this equipment on site?
Yes, across the Silesian agglomeration (Katowice, Gliwice, Zabrze, Bytom, Chorzów, Sosnowiec, Tychy, Mikołów and more) — a flat 200 PLN net round trip (delivery + pickup). Outside the agglomeration we quote transport individually.
